“…pain is the root of knowledge.” -Simone Weil
I am passionate about helping individuals with anxiety, focusing on its roots in childhood experiences and trauma. I aim to understand and treat anxiety's impact on relationships, work, and passions. My work includes exploring how past issues contribute to anxiety and providing evidence-based interventions that address both symptoms and the underlying patterns driving them.
In 2015, I decided to leave the corporate world and take on a new position as a stay-at-home mom to my boys and caregiver for my mother, who was diagnosed with terminal cancer. It was during this time, which was influenced by my father's early death when I was a child, that created a desire to learn more about mental health and how it affects individuals, families, and relationships.
My clinical experience encompasses providing comprehensive mental health care for adults in private practice and non-profit agencies. My academic background includes a degree in Anthropology from the University of North Texas and a Master's in Clinical Mental Health from The University of North Texas at Dallas.
